How deep does the stump get ground?

Below the surface, far enough that the ground can be turfed, paved or planted over. How far depends on the timber and what is underneath, which is one of the things Chris checks when he quotes.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. If Chris can get to the stump and knows which one you want gone, plenty of jobs get done while people are at work. He will let you know he is on the way either way.

What happens to all the mulch?

It gets raked back over the hole, which is usually what people want because it settles and fills the gap. If you would rather it went, say so when Chris quotes.

How long does a stump take?

It depends on the size and the timber. One customer had their job finished in under two hours. Chris will give you a realistic idea when he looks at it.
